Who are we?
Build Physiotherapy’s experienced team of trustworthy physiotherapists.
Malcolm,
Physiotherapist and founder
Hi, I’m Malcolm.
I completed my Bachelors of Science (honours) in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and my Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in Australia.
I was first exposed to physiotherapy through 10+ years as a Gridiron player and eventually retired after a shoulder injury. Through my poor experience with physiotherapy, I was set on a journey to be better and help others avoid the experience I had.
Now my passion is passing the knowledge I’ve gained to others and giving them the tools to help themselves. My goal is to empower patients and give them the tools to take control of their health and fitness.
I’m currently a physiotherapist for the Bond University Rugby Team and continue to work with other sporting clubs throughout the year.
When I’m not working you can find me surfing like a kook at the points, doing DIY projects at home, or trying to make heavy things look light in the gym.
Thanks for checking Build Physiotherapy out, I hope we can chat soon.
Emily,
Physiotherapist
Hi, I’m Emily! I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University, and I’m passionate about helping people feel strong, confident, and capable in their bodies. Alongside my physiotherapy journey, I’ve spent over 10 years competing as a Surf Ironwoman with Surfers Paradise SLSC, which has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience and dedication it takes to perform at your best.
I love bringing that same mindset into my work, blending clinical expertise with lived experience as an athlete. I’m also trained in Clinical Pilates, which allows me to tailor treatment and rehabilitation programs that suit each individual—whether you’re an athlete chasing performance goals or someone simply wanting to move with less pain and more freedom.
At the heart of what I do is helping people achieve their goals, big or small, and supporting them every step of the way.
